Owns the two closest analogues to MicroLink. Led the Crusoe Energy 350 million dollar Series C (energy first AI data centers on stranded energy, took a board seat). Invested in VAST Data Series F at a 30 billion dollar valuation (Tauscher championed). Led the 1KOMMA5 Series B (home electrification and heat pumps). Also Arcadia, AiDash, Nikola Labs, Enphase and Cast AI.
Enphase, Opower and Silver Spring Networks (positive legacy exits). Proterra went public then filed Chapter 11 (a notable loss). Fund returns not public.
Equity and growth equity, 25 to 75 million dollars Series B to D, leads or co leads. No debt or project finance itself.
Strong long term fit at Round 3, sits at their exact intersection of industrial decarbonization, power infrastructure and AI compute. To match a 25 to 75 million dollar Series B to D check MicroLink needs tens of MW live and revenue generating, contracted recurring revenue from both compute and heat offtake ideally 10 million dollar plus run rate, positive project level unit economics, and a repeatable host pipeline. Biggest objection is the Crusoe conflict since Crusoe is now a competitor, so prepare a crisp answer on why MicroLink is complementary. Not a now target.
Board seat when leading. Expect standard growth equity terms, 1x non participating preference, pro rata, information rights and protective provisions. Specifics only surface in a term sheet.
